Carol Hupping
Carol Hupping is chief operating
officer and publishing director at The
Jewish Publication Society, in Philadelphia, and the publisher of the JPS Tanakah, the JPS Bible commentaries and
numerous other books. She is the editor of The Jewish Bible: a JPS
Guide.
Carol manages
the day-to-day activities of this 120-year-old, not-for-profit publisher. She
also directs its publishing group and is responsible for all editorial,
production, sales and marketing activities of JPS books and related
material.
Before joining JPS in 1999, Carol
was vice president and editorial director of the book division at Rodale Press;
a position she held for 18 years. She has also worked as a freelance editor for
over a dozen publishing houses in the U.S. and London.
