A Church spokesperson, Ahmad interacts with international, national and local media on behalf of the Church.  He enjoys relationships with producers and media talent from numerous New York City—based foreign and national media, including The BBC, Telemundo, the major US networks and cable channels and the major US publications.

Previously, Ahmad was Executive Director of Corporate Communications and Associate General Counsel at Corporation Service Company (CSC), a large, Delaware-based registered agent representing Fortune 500 companies, and national law firms.  He managed the company’s communications – including public relations, media relations and internal communications – marketing and strategic relationships.  Ahmad also furnished legal counsel to the corporation and its subsidiaries, and provided law firm and law department customers continuing legal education lectures, business lectures and articles on a variety of subjects, including Legislative Policy, Securities Laws, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, white collar crime, Special Purpose Entities and Intellectual Property.

Prior to joining CSC, Ahmad served as Vice President and General Counsel of Coltrin & Associates, Inc., a boutique international public relations firm headquartered in New York City, with offices in the US, Europe and Asia.  He handled communications for numerous marquis accounts, including Burger King, the Salt Lake Winter Olympics of 2002, Chapters (of Canada), 3Com, US Robotics, Palm and InVision Technologies (leading manufacturer of baggage screening equipment for US airports), among many others.  He served as a spokesperson for the Salt Lake Olympic Committee, providing numerous strategic interviews and statements during the Olympic Torch Relay to top print and broadcast national, international and regional media, including the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Associated Press, all major television networks, Telemundo and Univision, among others.

Before joining Coltrin & Associates, Ahmad was a successful trial attorney.  His practice included criminal and civil work, as well as state appellate and Supreme Court work.  He honorably completed a four-year appointment by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a member of the New Jersey (District IV) Ethics Committee, where he presided over or prosecuted matters involving alleged ethics violations by lawyers.

Ahmad serves as his Church’s representative on the Board of Directors of the National Interfaith Cable Coalition, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Bible Association, both headquartered in New York City.  He serves on the Boards of Visn Management Corporation and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lightworks Entertainment Media. He is a member of the National Advisory Councils of the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and Southern Virginia University, and the President’s Advancement Council of Brigham Young University—Idaho. He is a past president of the Fair Housing Council of Southern New Jersey, and past chairman of various dispute resolution committees in South Jersey.  He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.

Ahmad received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, and a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law.  He is admitted to the bars of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

As a young man, Ahmad served as an LDS Missionary in the Puerto Rico San Juan mission of the Church and is fluent in Spanish.  He is president of the Cherry Hill New Jersey stake (like a diocese), which covers Southern New Jersey.  Ahmad is married to Jayne L.
